NOTE: Site Safe Card Renewal

Through the Vertical Horizonz and Site Safe partnership, trainees who complete this Low Level Scaffold course can also automatically renew their existing Site Safety Card (Passport).
Additionally, completion of this course can contribute towards the Site Safe Certificate in Construction Site Safety. Enrolment for this is seamless and happens on the day of the course.
This service incurs a $20 administration fee. It does not apply to Vertical Horizonz Refresher courses.


Purpose

The aim of this course is to enable a trainee to be able to outline the requirements of non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolds; erect non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding; alter non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding; inspect completed non-notifiable prefabricated scaffold; and dismantle non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding.

 

Course Objectives 

At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:

  • Outline the requirements of non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolds.

  • Identify and describe types of scaffold are in terms of function and use.

  • Erect non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding.

  • Alter non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding.

  • Inspect completed non-notifiable prefabricated scaffold.

  • Dismantle non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding.

 

NZQA Unit Standard

  • 9184     Erect non-notifiable prefabricated scaffolding
  • 13016   Demonstrate knowledge of the erection and dismantling of scaffolding up to five metres in height
  • 13053   Erect and dismantle scaffolding up to five metres in height

 

Course Duration

Two days
